Projects:

Programming projects will be assigned. Late projects are accepted with a 10% deduction per day.

Exams:

There will be three tests (each of them will be closed book and closed notes). Using handhelds and graphic calculators during tests is not allowed. Following is a tentative schedule of the tests:

Grading:

If the sum of: the attendance score multiplied by 0.06, the homework score (the average of all homework scores) multiplied by 0.21, the project score (the average of all projects) multiplied by 0.19, and the test score (the average of all test scores) multiplied by 0.54 will be greater than or equal to 90%, then your grade in the course will be an "A". If the above value will be greater than or equal to 80%, 70%, and 60%, then your grade will be a "B", "C", and "D", respectively.

The limit for each grade will not be raised and it may or may not be lowered. All homework assignments and projects should be completed individually. Copying from other students or books, notes, etc., is not allowed during any and all tests and the final exam. Violations of this rule may result in a charge of academic misconduct.

If you feel that your scores are unfair or inappropriate, you should discuss them with the instructor, within two weeks after your work had been returned.
